ERASMUS+ 621433-EPP-1-2020-1-BE-EPPKA3-IPI-SOC-IN
JGU was partner of the Erasmus+ project SMILE - Social Meaning Impact through LLL Universities in Europe. The goal of the SMILE project was to facilitate inclusive learning by developing, testing, and implementing innovative tools. In order to achieve this, it focused on three main areas that are commonly perceived as the main source of inequality and general disadvantages: migration background, disparity between the genders, and a low socio-economic status. By doing so, the handling of diversity and social integration at higher education institutions is to be improved. The project, which is co-funded by the European Commission, was coordinated by EUCEN (European University Continuing Education Network). Further project partners come from Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Romania and Spain.
