2024-1-DE02-KA122-ADU-000229383
Mobility for Lifelong Learners (Mobility4LLL) is an Erasmus+ Short Project that enables language participants at the ZWW to go abroad on a short group trip. The participation of adult learners is new to the Erasmus+ program. Stays abroad offer insights into other countries, working methods and cultures, they strengthen European values and the participants' understanding of democracy. The project Mobility 4LLL includes preparatory visits and group mobility to France and Spain, preceded by digital language courses and tandem partnerships to prepare participants linguistically and culturally. It enhances European mobility across generations and promotes innovative learning and multilateral knowledge exchange. The project starts on September 1, 2024, and lasts 18 months.

Regular Meetings in Preparation for the Mobilities to Dijon and Valencia
Our French and Spanish Erasmus+ groups meet regularly to prepare for the upcoming mobilities to Dijon and Valencia. If you are interested, please write a message to mobility4LLL@zww.uni-mainz.de. Meetings take place on the JGU campus once a month and last for about one hour.
The main goals of these meetings are to:
- Share important project information directly with participants and answer questions related to the project
- Gradually develop the mobility programme together
- Allow them to prepare and give short presentations on topics of their interest
These meetings are a great opportunity to practice the language further, stay informed, get involved, and contribute to the planning process.
Kickoff First Erasmus+ Mobility for Adult Learners – Dijon 2025
From October 6 to 11, 2025, a group 50+, learners accompanied by the ZWW, took part in the first Erasmus+ mobility of our institution.
The destination: Dijon, France, hosted by our valued partners at the Université de Bourgogne Europe.
The group received a warm welcome from the university during the opening session in the Salle des Actes, which marked the beginning of an inspiring week filled with cultural discovery and international exchange.
The programme included:
- Cultural visits to Dijon’s historic landmarks such as the Jardin Darcy, Jardin de l’Arquebuse, and the Palais des Ducs et des États de Bourgogne.
- Tandem sessions and presentations at the Centre de Langues, promoting linguistic and intercultural interaction with the French participants.
- A day trip to Beaune, exploring the Burgundy region’s cultural and culinary heritage.
- And a farewell celebration at the Maison Rhénanie-Palatinat, filled with laughter, friendship, and shared memories.
The week was a wonderful success — combining learning, culture, and connection.
It was deeply rewarding to see how much our participants enjoyed every activity returning home enriched and inspired. We are so proud of them for their enthusiasm and their willingness to do presentations in French
We thank our hosts in Dijon for their hospitality and look forward to many more mobility experiences to come!
